Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities is a human services organization guided by our faith and committed to the community we serve. The Catholic Church proclaims that human life is sacred and the dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society. Our mission is rooted in the principles of Catholic Social Teaching: To provide vital social services for people in need regardless of their religious, social or economic background, to improve lives of individuals, families and the community.

The Basilica of St. Paul supports the local Catholic Charities Office (the Eastern Region Office) by providing representatives to board of local board of advisers. Baskets are provided in the vestibule of the Church for parishioners to bring non-perishable food items each Sunday. The Catholic Charities food pantry is dependent on donations from the local parishes. Counseling Services and Emergency financial assistance is also available through Catholic Charities.
