The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.

At the Basilica of St. Paul, the Knights of Columbus Council 1895 have a long time tradition for promoting vocations to the priesthood, as well as working within our parish. Many of our Knights serve in various parish ministries, and members help to meet other needs of the parish. The Knights also sponsor dinners throughout the year, as well as the famous “Lenten Fish Fries” on Fridays. Each year, the Knights participate in the “Tootsie Roll” fundraiser to benefit people with intellectual disabilities.

They meet to plan upcoming activities the first Tuesday of each month for approximately one hour. The Knights of Columbus is a great opportunity to meet other devout Catholic men, have a sense of belonging and to help people in the community. The men of our parish are encouraged to become apart of this great group of Catholic men.
